Back Again after a long self imposed break

It's a long time since my last blog and just that I was lazy and decided to take an active break from blogging and anyway as not many people read my blogs doesn't matter. May be from 2008 I will get back to regular blogs though like any other New Year promise this one also might go into the oblivion

Looks like India is about to make history at WACA tomorrow if Ponting and Hussey don't spoil the script with yet another Aussie heroics and since only three times teams have won scoring 400+ in the last innings odds are pretty much in favor of India. It will be a truly a memorable moment if that happens given India's track records in fast pitches especially at WACA and might be a defining moment in India's cricket history as a real match winner abroad on fast pitches and just not on the spinner friendly turners. Kumble has been excellent as a captain, stood up at Sydney eye for eye with the Aussies then gracefully withdrew the complaint against Hogg and is now on the verge of a historic win. It’s a pity that he has only one -two years left in him as a Captain and player since he is already 37+ though if you look into his eyes the determination and never say die spirit would suggest that he has another 10 years of cricket left in him. 600 wickets is no mean achievement over 15 years playing day in and day out for 124 tests and that too for somebody who always never got the praise and glory he deserved like a Warne or Murali and was always frowned and ridiculed upon by the spin community and experts as a medium fast spinner who never turned the cricket ball. But the guy has marched on relentlessly silencing his critics with deadly performances one after another and at the end of the day what matters is your performance on the field and how many you won for your country and Kumble stands tall with any other player in the world in this category
