Gilchrist or Gilly as his fans used to call him had earned high respect with his exploits on and off the field in the last 10 years as the best wicket keeper batsman the world had seen till date and was also famous for his sportsmanship and courteous behaviour refreshingly different from the other Aussies. So it's a complete surprise to see some of his comments in his upcoming biography
- Tendulkar did not shake hands with the opposition after the infamous Sydney test and was not to be seen around
But the TV pictures replayed on the channels clearly showed that Sachin was the first to congratulate Aussies after the Sydney test. What’s the point of apologising after such comments and unruffled Sachin as usual simply brushed aside the whole controversy in commenting that the subject matter was closed - Harbhajan chickened out on seeing a green top and faked a fever so that he won't be exposed in the Nagpur test when Aussies toured last time
You can say anything about the Turbanator but nobody can accuse him of not giving 100% to the Country as he is a fierce competitor and even if you make a false accusation you have to choose the right person and in this case Gilly got it all wrong - Murali has been a chucker and is a fact that he along with others have been chucking away for their wickets
- It has been proved that Murali's action is due to a birth deformity, has been subjected to rigourous tests and his action has been cleared by ICC any number of times. So to call him a chucker just because the Aussies don't like him or he surpassed Warne in terms of total wickets is really silly and laughable. Even for a moment assuming that Murali chucks when he bowls the Doosra he has perfected that ball like never before and no other spinner in the world can even come close to his strike rate or match winning performances and it's better for Gilly and Aussies to accept that Murali is a champion cricketer and if he had been born in UK or Australia by now he would have been knighted and would have the Wisden cricketer for the last 10 years without a break
Gilly has spoiled his entire reputation built over years by making such allegations about famous fellow cricketers without facts and has fallen from such esteem in no time just by writing a biography for few Hundred Thousand Dollars

The whole world had respect for gilly but now he has proved that he is also a typical aussie...By creating controversies....He has no right to comment on the commitment of SACHIN TENDULKAR , who has not only served big for indian cricket but also for world cricket...SACHIN never even came once also in front of the media to counter-attack at gilly...This shows the difference between not only a legend and a normal cricketer but also a difference between a matured cricketer and a totally immatured cricketer like gilly is.
And talking about the turbanator....He could be a very aggresive cricketer and shout etc but u cannot comment on his commitment to the indian team. Some one who again has done so much for the country and is no doubt considered as one of the best bowlers in the world..
And last but not least about
murali what gilly said....Regarding the problem he has with arm he is a world class bowler..And i dont think anyone in the world can comment on that..Exactly like mr.ram said had the gentleman been born in australia or england he would have been knighted and been called the king and would have probably been loved in australia...But the aussies will not do that....WHY??? He is an asian...NOW IS THAT NOT BEING RACIST???They throw eggs at him while he was walking into the team bus...ISN'T THAT A RACIST ACT??? Now this is not a comparision off who is warney better then murali?? Both are world class bowlers...But murali is less appreciated because he is an asian....And here you mr.symonds , mr.ponting and mr.gilly crying to the media that harbhajan said monkey....And we dont make our own decisions and tell the umpire to make the decision what we think is right....That's for you MR.PONTING......By telling umpire benson that ganguly was out and clarke took the catch....immaturity again at its peak......Hence to sum it up , probably even god cant change the aussies...Wat to do??? They are so called "CHAMPIONS".....And we proved them wrong in the T20 , in their own backyard by winning the common wealth bank series...And we are going to that again by winning the test series...!!!!
Ram u got t absolutely right I think gilly was the only ausi cricket who had a great respect in the cricketing world he has dumped t for cheap pppularity but we shud feel happy always writing abt indian cricketers create sensation and sale of books considering that its a honour where writers know that only we indians can appreciate reading books than anyone else I think ram has to send this mail to gilly himself
There are many people in this world who protect their respect by keeping their mouth shut by performing and making the world shut-up. Gilly should have kept quiet!
